Saab Key Programming
Saab cars manufactured since 1994 have an immobilizer feature made up of coded keys. A new transponder is required in order to enable the addition of a second key, and special programming. This is usually done by the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.
The issue is that this could be very expensive. This is why it is important to always have a spare key at hand.
Transponder key
The transponder key is a key with an electronic chip that sends a signal to car when it is inserted into ignition. The car then analyzes the signal to determine whether it matches the one on the key. Jump-starting the battery
A lot of people keep a set of jumper cables in their trunks for emergencies however, jumping a battery on newer vehicles may not be the best choice. Start the working vehicle and allow it to run for approximately two minutes before connecting the cables to the non-working one.
